Into to Ballet Foundations with Samara

Welcome to Ballet Foundations: Session Two! Join Samara Baldwin for a four-week journey into the world of ballet. This course is designed to introduce you to the essential foundations, helping you feel confident and prepared in the studio. Over the course of four one-hour classes, you’ll gain a solid understanding of ballet basics. Plus, we offer a make-up option, so you won’t miss a step if you have to miss a class.

    Our session comprises a blend of ballet technique refinement and muscle conditioning, with a focus on the specific muscle groups crucial for dancing en pointe.

    Join us to relive your childhood dreams while nurturing your lower body strength, improving leg, ankle, and foot fitness in the process. We recommend attire that's comfortable and allows for fluid movement.

We’ll cover basic ballet positions and steps while focusing on proper posture and body alignment. Class will start at the barre then move to the center. No dress code, feel free to wear whatever you feel good in and have fun!

  • This class is specifically designed for adults who are interested in learning and exploring the art of Hip Hop dance in a fun and supportive environment. Whether you're a beginner or have previous dance experience, this class is open to all skill levels. Please wear white bottom sneakers because the floor is white Marley! Thank you.

  • Intro to Ballet is an excellent class for mastering the fundamentals of ballet. It provides a perfect starting point for entering the studio and building a strong foundation in ballet technique. No dress code, feel free to wear whatever you feel good in and have fun!

  • Beg/ Int Jazz is a fun workout class that requires no dance training. It is designed to get your endorphins going and to find joy in movement. Wear comfortable clothes and come ready to move!

  • Starting back on Thursday, August 1st, this ballet class is a great fit for anyone interested in learning classical ballet or coming back to ballet after time off.   • Welcome to our Contemporary and Floor Work class for adults! This session is perfect for mastering the foundations of contemporary movement. Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, and join us in the studio for an enjoyable and enriching experience!

  • For dancers with prior tap experience seeking a new challenge, this class is perfect for you. Each session includes a dynamic warm-up followed by engaging combinations designed to push your skills to the next level. Join us and enjoy the rhythm!

Drop-In (60 min): $18

Drop-In (75 - 90 min): $20

10 Class Card: $170 (all classes)

  • Classes will happen if they are on the schedule! We do not cancel classes — there is no minimum amount of dancers required.

  • Please pre-register using our member portal so we can look forward to seeing you!

  • With drop-in rates, please email: info@theneighborhoodballet.com if you need to adjust your schedule before class or 24 hours after the class happens. We will move the credit one time. After that timeframe, thank you for supporting the arts - but we really want YOU in the class!

  • We provide a safe and inclusive space for dancers of all experience levels. We prioritize community and aim to provide a space where everyone feels encouraged to try their best and freely express themselves.

  • All sales are final. There are no refunds given.
