FAQs

  • We would love to have your dancer join us for classes at Neighborhood Ballet! Luckily the process is quite simple:

    • First, create an account on our member portal. After you have created an account for yourself and your dancer, you will be able to see our class offerings. Click “Register” and browse the divisions to see which options are available for your dancer!

    • Once you’ve found an option that works for your family, click the checkbox next to the class and proceed with checkout by clicking “Submit” found at the bottom of the page.

    • If you need any assistance or have placement questions, please reach out to our team at info@theneighborhoodballet.com.

  • This information can easily be found on your member portal:

    • Log in to your portal

    • Select the “Students” tab

    • Select “Upcoming Classes” under your dancer’s name

  • Students may arrive no more than 10 minutes before class and should be on time, in uniform, and ready to dance!

They must remain in the lobby under supervision until the teacher invites them into the studio. To minimize disruptions, please take your child to the restroom before class.

After class, students must be picked up promptly and should wait in the lobby until a parent or guardian arrives. Our staff prioritizes dancer safety during check-in and dismissal, addressing other matters once students are safely in class or with their caregiver.

  • You can find out about our uniforms and dress code on our Dress Code page.

  • Your child should wear something comfortable and easy to move in! If your child does not have dance shoes, we suggest bare feet or grippy socks so they don’t slip on the studio floors. For Hip Hop trial classes, your child can wear a clean pair of sneakers.

After their trial class, you can purchase their class uniform via our boutique!

  • Our students enter the studio with their teacher and their classmates, and they are able to share their time in the studio together without the supervision of parents, which can sometimes cause excitement and distraction for the dancers.

We have Observation Weeks each season which serve as a special time for caretakers to see all their dancers are learning throughout the season! To review Observation Weeks, check out the season calendar linked at the footer of our website.

  • Enrollment is open as long as there is space in the class. Once classes begin working on their recital dances and the costumes are ordered, enrollment is closed. Please reach out to us at info@theneighborhoodballet.com if your dancer would like to register midway through the year.

  • You can pick up your order at our Grant Park location during our regular business hours. For the hours, addresses, and maps of our studio locations, please see the footer of our website.

  • Our new Grant Park/Marchon studio (opening in August 2025) features plentiful, private and secured parking, just for our community! The parking lot leads right up to the entrance of our unit.

Our Northlake Village studio is within a large shopping center which shared parking with other businesses. There are plenty of parking spots and you should have no problem parking right in front of our studio!
