Yes! We love having parents volunteer as class chaperones backstage. Volunteers do not need to purchase show tickets and will get a special up-close view of their dancer’s class from the stage wings.

Recital will take place on May 11th and 12th at the Ferst Center at Georgia Tech.

The recital fee for the 2024 season is $149 per dancer. It includes:

• Costume

• Video (digital file)

• Assists with venue costs

Dancers needing an additional costume because they are in multiple classes will pay $70 for each additional costume.

If you discontinue with classes after recital fee has been collected, you will receive your costume when they are given out in April.

Tickets are sold separately and will go on sale via the Ferst Center box office closer to show day!

The fee is due by January 15th. If fees are not paid by the due date, the fee will increase to $169.

Participation in Spring Recital is strongly encouraged and considered an important part of the overall dance experience. Being part of a performance helps build self-esteem and self-confidence and gives students a chance to showcase the results of all of their hard work, dedication, and progress. It is one of our very favorite days of the year and we know that your dancer will cherish the memories made on stage with their friends!

All dancers in Creative Movement and up are invited to perform in our annual recital, but may opt out of participating via this form. We kindly ask that you opt out by December 31st, 2023 if you intend to do so.

We try our absolute best to get siblings in the same show but it is not a guarantee. If we are not able to place your dancers in the same show, you will receive four complementary tickets to the performance of your choice.

Performance assignments will be released before January 2024.

Tickets will go on sale in April. They can be purchased through the Ferst Center box office.

For safety reasons and the best viewing experience for our audience, Neighborhood Ballet does not allow any photography or video recording at any of our shows. The recording of the performance is a distraction to the dancers and disrupts the viewing experience for those around you. The recital will be recorded by a professional videographer and a digital copy of the video is included in your recital fee.

For the safety of our dancers, the only parents allowed backstage are the dressing room parent volunteers. You will sign your dancer in for dress rehearsal prior to the show, and then you will see them again when the show is over.

1. Hanging costumes in the bathroom during a shower helps to take out the wrinkles.

2. Medical tape can be placed in inside seams to help with any itchiness.

3. Keep costumes stored securely in their garment bag and out of reach of dancers until show day. We cannot replace damaged costumes or lost hairpieces.
